# Microsoft To Do holds the what. The dial holds the when.

> Connect Microsoft To Do and dated tasks land in your Inbox. Drag one onto the 24-hour dial for its hour; the block moves without touching the due date.

See which tasks fit around your meetings. Connect your Outlook.com or Microsoft 365 account, choose your To Do lists, and drag a task from the Inbox onto the dial. Finish it here and it is done in Microsoft To Do too.

## Works with your Microsoft account

Sign in with an Outlook.com or Microsoft 365 account, pick the lists you want, and each dated task lands in your [Inbox](https://reassign.ai/features/inbox) under its due date. Undated tasks come across only from the lists you opt in, one list at a time.

## Drag it onto the dial for a time

This connection syncs due dates, while your working hours stay in Reassign. Drag it onto the ring to set the day, the time and the duration, and that slot stays in Reassign. Reschedule the block later and the Microsoft due date stays where it was.

## Titles, notes and done, both ways

Titles, plain-text notes, due dates and completion sync in both directions. Tick a task off on the dial and it is done in Microsoft To Do; finish it there and it is done here. A manual **Sync now** sits on the source card.

## The date syncs. The time does not.

Microsoft To Do carries a due date, so the day, hour and duration you set stay in Reassign. Subtasks (called steps), and any list you did not pick, stay out. Reassign asks only to read and write your tasks (`Tasks.ReadWrite`), read your profile (`User.Read`), and keep the connection alive. Disconnecting stops sync and keeps imported tasks. Delete the connected source to remove its linked imports from Reassign; nothing is deleted in Microsoft To Do. You can also revoke the app in your Microsoft account.

## FAQ

### Which Microsoft accounts work?

A personal Outlook.com account or a Microsoft 365 work or school account. Reassign reads and writes only the To Do lists you pick, and confirms who you are to keep the connection working.

### Does the time I set sync back?

No. This connection syncs due dates, not planned working hours or reminder times. The hour and duration you set stay in Reassign, and moving the block never changes the Microsoft due date.

### Is this the same as Outlook Calendar sync?

No. Outlook Calendar syncs your meetings as timed blocks. Microsoft To Do syncs your tasks, which arrive in the Inbox under their due date until you give them an hour on the dial.
