# Reassign’s database move: what to expect

> Reassign is moving from InstantDB to Neon. Read what happens to your plans, sign-in, connected calendars, and offline access during the switch.

We’re preparing to move Reassign to a new database during the week of 14 September 2026. Here’s what to expect: a short pause in editing, another sign-in, and an internet connection required to save changes afterward.

## Your plans and connections

We’re moving your saved plans and account with you. After the switch, sign in again to open your day.

The move is designed to preserve your connected calendars, Todoist connection, MCP access, API keys, and passkeys. If you need to take any extra steps, we’ll publish them here before the switch.

## When editing pauses

You won’t be able to save changes while we move the data. We’ll post the exact day, time, and expected maintenance window here, on the [roadmap](https://reassign.ai/roadmap), and on the [changelog](https://reassign.ai/changelog) before it starts.

If a change doesn’t appear or something looks wrong, email [support@reassign.ai](mailto:support@reassign.ai) with the day you were editing and what happened. I read every message.

## Offline access is ending

After the move, you’ll need an internet connection to save changes. Reassign will still install on your home screen and sync your day across devices.

If you plan without a connection, this changes how you use Reassign. I wanted you to know before the switch.

## Why we’re moving

Our current database provider, InstantDB, has [announced that its hosted service will close on 31 August 2027](https://www.instantdb.com/essays/instant_team_joins_openai) after its team joined OpenAI. We’re moving to [Neon Postgres](https://neon.com) ahead of that deadline.

We’re also building an iPhone companion for checking your day and capturing a block on the go, and a Raycast extension for reaching your plan from the keyboard. Both are in progress. Follow them on the [roadmap](https://reassign.ai/roadmap).

## Plans and pricing are changing too

The move also brings a new Pro price and the end of the Free plan. Existing free accounts will get 30 days of Pro from the move, with no card required. Read the [pricing notice](https://reassign.ai/pricing#price-change) for the new rates and how to keep today’s price.

### What happens to my plans?
