Reassign’s database move: what changed

Reassign now runs on Neon Postgres. The move was released on 21 September 2026. Sign in again to open your day; an internet connection is now required to save changes.

Your saved plans and account have moved with you. Sign in again to open your day.

If a connected service asks you to reconnect, follow its sign-in prompt. If a calendar, Todoist connection, MCP client, API key, or passkey does not work, contact support.

The database move is part of today’s release, alongside saved focus rhythms, optional sounds, and calendar import rules. See the changelog for the full release and the roadmap for what’s next.

Saving changes requires a connection

You now need an internet connection to save changes. Reassign still installs on your home screen and syncs your day across devices.

If you plan without a connection, this changes how you use Reassign.

Why we moved

Our previous database provider, InstantDB, has announced that its hosted service will close on 31 August 2027 after its team joined OpenAI. We moved to Neon Postgres ahead of that deadline.

We’re also building an iPhone companion for checking your day and capturing a block on the go, and a Raycast extension for reaching your plan from the keyboard. Both are in progress. Follow them on the roadmap.

Plans and pricing changed too

The move also brings a new Pro price and the end of the Free plan. Existing free accounts get 30 days of Pro from the move, with no card required. Read the pricing notice for the new rates and existing-subscriber price protection.
