The issues you own, given an hour

Reassign syncs two-way with Linear. Issues assigned to you land in the Inbox with a length from their estimate, and completing one closes it in Linear.

Standup ends at 10. Your next meeting starts at 11. Give that hour to the Linear issue you meant to start yesterday.

Connect Linear to Reassign and your assigned issues arrive in the Inbox. Drag one onto the 24-hour dial to make room for it alongside your meetings. Complete it here and its state updates in Linear.

Your assigned work, from the teams you choose

Open Integrations, connect Linear, and choose your teams. Dated issues assigned to you arrive in the Inbox under their due dates. Enable undated imports per team to bring in the rest of your queue.

Other people’s issues stay out. The Inbox’s Integration filter lets you plan just your Linear work, then switch back to everything else that needs an hour.

Protect working time without changing the team’s deadline

Drag an issue onto Tuesday at 10 and give it an hour. If a review runs long, move the block to 11. Your planned slot stays in Reassign; the issue’s due date stays unchanged in Linear.

A due-date change in Linear updates the deadline here without moving your block. You can also edit or clear the synced due date from the Inbox. Scheduling work and changing its deadline are separate decisions.

Close the issue where you finish the work

Titles, plain-text descriptions, due dates and completion sync both ways. Completing an issue in Reassign moves it to your team’s first completed workflow state. Reopening it moves it to the first unstarted state. Complete it in Linear and it shows as done here too.

If an issue is reassigned to someone else, canceled, marked as a duplicate or archived, it leaves the imported set. Nothing is deleted in Linear. An issue in a state that Reassign does not recognize stays open, so an unknown state never removes your work.

Turn points into time

A 3-point issue says how big the work is. It does not say how long to block. Set that per team in the source settings, under Estimates:

  • One point is: Off, 15 min, 30 min, 1 hour, or 2 hours. With 1 hour, a 3-point issue arrives in the Inbox as a 3-hour block. Lengths stay between 5 minutes and 24 hours.
  • Send durations to Linear: Off, Only when empty, or Always. Only when empty writes an estimate only when the issue has none, so it never overwrites the estimate a teammate set. Always writes each length change as the nearest point on the team scale; a tie rounds up.

Your own length wins. Resize an issue in Reassign and that length stays until someone changes the estimate in Linear. Then the new estimate sets the length. A second work session on the same issue never writes an estimate. A team that has estimates turned off in Linear ignores these settings.

An issue with no length set shows a muted default in the Inbox. Reassign does not save a length for it until you choose one.

Keep project management in Linear

Projects, labels, priority and comments do not sync. Reassign gives your assigned work time in your day; Linear keeps the project detail and team workflow.

Changes sync automatically. Use Sync now on the source card when you need to pull in an update. Disconnecting stops sync and keeps imported issues. Deleting the connected source removes its linked imports from Reassign without changing them in Linear.

Try it with one issue

Connect your team, bring in your Google or Outlook calendar, and give one issue a slot before tomorrow’s meetings fill the day. You can also ask Claude to help plan that time.

Linear sync is included in Pro: $14/month or $120/year. Start your 7-day trial. No card required. No automatic charge.

Frequently asked

Does Reassign sync with Linear?
Yes. Reassign now syncs two-way with Linear. Connect your account, pick the teams you want, and dated issues assigned to you land in your Inbox; undated issues import only from the teams you opt in. Titles, descriptions, due dates and completion sync both ways. Scheduling or moving a block does not change the Linear due date.
Which Linear issues come across?
Only the issues assigned to you, in the teams you choose. A dated issue lands in the Inbox with its due date. Undated issues import only from the teams you opt in, one team at a time. Reassign can recheck a linked issue to detect reassignment, but does not update issues assigned to someone else.
If I complete an issue in Reassign, does it close in Linear?
Yes, both ways. Check an issue off on the dial and it moves to your team's first completed workflow state. Reopen it and it moves to the first unstarted state. Complete it in Linear and it shows as done on the dial.
What happens if an issue is reassigned, canceled, or marked as a duplicate?
It leaves your Inbox. An issue that is reassigned to someone else, canceled, marked as a duplicate, or archived drops out of the imported set, because it is no longer yours to schedule. An issue in a state that Reassign does not recognize stays open.
Do Linear estimates sync?
Yes, when you turn it on per team. Set how long one point is (15 min, 30 min, 1 hour, or 2 hours) and each issue with an estimate gets that length per point in your Inbox. Send durations to Linear is Off, Only when empty (it never overwrites a teammate's estimate), or Always (it rounds your length to the nearest point on the team scale).
What does not sync from Linear?
Projects, labels, priority, and comments stay in Linear. Reassign syncs the issue title, its plain-text description, the due date, completion, and, when you turn it on for a team, the estimate. It does not carry the rest across.
